The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has developed a free address verification system to bridge the physical addressing gap in Nigeria and facilitate financial inclusion, e-commerce, and the growing digital economy. This system is available for banks, fintech companies, cab-hailing services, corporate organizations, and individuals. To get and use the app, follow these steps:
- Visit https://verify.nipost.gov.ng and register as an on-field verification or business partner.
- Go to https://avs.nipost.gov.ng to log in using the account provisioned for you after registration.
- Upload the details you intend to verify or use the API (Application Programming Interface) to integrate the app into your system.
You can also download the Android and iOS versions of the app. However, you will not be able to log in to your account unless a provision is made for you by NIPOST or its field agent partners.
