Introduction
The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) has introduced an e-ticketing platform for the Warri-Itakpe train route to streamline the booking process and make it convenient for passengers to secure their train tickets on the day or two days ahead of their trip from the comfort of their homes.
What you need
- National Identification Number (NIN)
How to book
- Visit the e-ticketing platform at https://nrc-fane.ng/
- Select “Register” and enter your details, including your NIN, to sign up.
- After successful registration, sign in to the platform using your email address and password to access the booking system. You can book a one-way or round-trip ticket.
- Input your destination and source stations.
- Select your desired date of travel.
- Click the search/find my trains button to show available trains for your trip.
- Select a train and a coach type (for example Economy, VIP, VVIP, etc).
- Click on the dropdown (below the ‘please select a coach’), to see coach details.
- Select a coach and pick a seat(s).
- Click on Reserve Seat and then click Pay, to pay online through the provided gateway with your ATM card.
Payment
The price of tickets is as follows:
- Economy class: N5,000.00
- Business class: N9,000.00
- Minor: N2,500.00
All payments are made online. Ensure you keep your transaction emails or messages secure and ready for presentation/verification at the train station.
