Introduction
The National Library of Nigeria (NLN) is responsible for assigning International Standard Book Numbers (ISBNs) to publications in Nigeria. The ISBN is a unique 13-digit code that officially identifies books and facilitates global tracking and distribution.
What you need
- Cover page of the publication
- Completed application form
How to apply
- Visit https://isbn.nln.gov.ng/ and create your account.
- Fill out the form with details of your book, author information, and publication format (such as paperback, e-book, etc.).
- Upload the required documents.
- Make the payment.
Payment
The costs of obtaining ISBN are N5,000.00 for 1 ISBN; N7,000.00 for 2 ISBNs; and N10,000.00 for 3, 4, 5, and 10 ISBNs. Please note that the system does not allow applications for 6, 7, 8, or 9 ISBNs. All payments are made online.
