Introduction
The ECOWAS Residence Card is an important document for residents within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) that facilitates legal residence and mobility across member countries. All cardholders are required to renew their card two years after the date of issue.
What you need
- Application for renewal of ECOWAS Residence Card from the employer/embassy/high commission/diaspora union/company accepting immigration responsibilities.
- Expired residence card
- Duly completed signed application form
- Photocopy of passport bio-data page and expired residence card
- Evidence of e-payment (i.e. printed payment confirmation page)
How to apply
- Complete the ECOWAS Residence Card renewal application form online at https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/ecowas/renewEcowas
- Make payment online and obtain an application ID and reference number.
- Submit the completed ECOWAS Residence Card renewal application form with other requirements at the immigration office chosen during the online application.
Payment
The fee for the ECOWAS Residence Card renewal is N12,500.00 for Togolese, N3,290.00 for Côte d’Ivoire citizens, and N250.00 for other ECOWAS citizens, payable only.
