Introduction
The Nigeria Police Force, Central Motor Registry Information System (CMRIS) enables motor vehicle owners to seamlessly provide information about their vehicle ownership and other details that will be useful in investigating motor vehicle theft and recovery in Nigeria.
What you need
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Valid e-mail and phone number
- Vehicle details, including license number, chassis number, engine number, etc.
How to apply
- Visit https://cmris.npf.gov.ng and click Get Started to create a personal or organizational profile using your TIN
- Verify TIN and confirm your e-mail and phone number (if the e-mail and phone number are no longer valid, select no and enter the valid details) and confirm receipt of a token
- Enter your token and proceed to review and update your personal/organization information used during TIN registration
- Create and confirm your password and proceed with your application
- Login with your e-mail or phone number and password
- Select CMR request, sub-request, and number of requests (whether single or fleet)
- Select vehicle category and plate number type and enter the vehicle details
- Review your information and confirm your request to view the invoice for payment
Payment
The cost of motor vehicle information certification is N5,375.00, including Value Added Tax (VAT), payable online.
